Artificial Intelligence

Through a combination of technological developments in the areas of data, hardware, software and algorithms, AI technology is enabling many new applications.

After a first wave of database-driven AI applications, a second wave of sensor-driven AI applications is about to take place. HTSC aims to be at the forefront of this revolution. Examples of upcoming technologies include efficient production and logistics, intelligent quality control, process optimization, predictive maintenance, intelligent sensors, robotics and smart asset management. In order to be successful in this second wave of AI applications, we must work to bridge the gap between engineering and AI.

Currently HTSC is building an ‘AI-Engineering Lab’ that brings together industry and researchers to realize this second wave of sensor-driven AI applications.
