Smart Building Interventions to stimulate healthy behaviour for older adults with Dementia.

Our aim

This research focuses on the effect of smart building interventions for stimulating health behaviour for older adults with dementia. This research looks at stimulating healthy behaviour and can contribute to longer living at home. As such, it is particularly useful in the light of an ageing population. This research gives a state of the art through examining literature on dementia, built environment, persuasive and ambient technology. Living labs and experimental spaces are studied to see if and via which pathways, using (behaviour change) theories, smart building interventions can stimulate healthy behaviour in older adults with dementia.
