European Lighting Expert

From November 2022 on, this course got accredited by the European Lighting Expert Association (ELEA). The European Lighting Expert Association (ELEA) has established a Europe-wide harmonized educational standard for light and lighting (Interior and Exterior), which is examined in the individual member countries by the national lighting societies. The fact that this course got accredited by the ELEA means that every student that successfully completes this course is able to register at ELEA and become an ELE (European Lighting Expert) for interior lighting. This is a title that is valid for five years after which re-registration is needed. For re-registration you need to prove via a specified number of credits that you have been working on updating your lighting knowledge and skills.

Student fee to register as an ELE is €25. You can register by filling in the registration form on the website of the ELEA

Internships, Design Projects and Thesis Projects

Students wanting to do an internship, design project or thesis project in the domain of intelligent lighting can contact Elke den Ouden. She will help find a position either related to research in the Intelligent Lighting Institute, one of the projects of the student team for lighting Team IGNITE, or at a company or public organisation.

In collaboration with TU/e innovation Space, we offer a continuous stream of challenges in the Innovation Space Project (ISP). You can find more information about the Entrepreneurial challenges  and about the Art & Design challenges on the innovation Space pages
