EFFECT Photonics has 2 intern positions within the PIC functional group

About EFFECT Photonics:
The company develops highly integrated optical communications products based on its Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) optical System-on-Chip technology. Our main focus is on the Indium- Phosphide (InP) material system which is the material of choice for creating efficient laser light sources, waveguides, modulators, and photodiodes used in optical communication systems throughout the world. We offer photonic chip design, package design, electronics and module design, all with a focus on industrial manufacturability. Who are we looking for:
If you are following a physics or engineering related program at an undergraduate level or above, have good communication skills (team spirit, report writing, presenting) and if you identify with some of the abilities listed below:
• Basic knowledge of:
- semiconductor physics and photonic components (e.g. lasers, modulators) and/or
- photonic integrated circuits and/or
- optical transmission systems
• Hands-on ability
• Programming skills
• Ability to carry out experimental work: measurements, characterization
• Data analysis; create structure from a large amount of data
• Developing tools for data analysis
• Build test equipment and/or automation skills
