Barry Fitzgerald self-publishes book on superhero science

Dr. Barry Fitzgerald, a postdoctoral researcher in the Multi-scale Modelling of Multi-Phase Flows group and previously a postdoctoral researcher at the ICMS, has just written and self-published his first book entitled “Secrets of Superhero Science”.
In his book “Secrets of Superhero Science”, Barry describes some current scientific research that could, in the future, lead to the emergence of superpowers in the real world. He also talks about the comic book origins of the superheroes and their adventures in the films. In addition, he considers the implications of emerging superpowers on modern society and how they might be adapted with our daily lives.
Recently, to mark World Book Day on the 3rd March, Barry did an interview about his book on the Ryan Tubridy show, a radio chat show that is broadcast on RTE Radio 1 in Ireland. You can listen to a podcast of this interview via his website www.bwscience.com.
