I am Akhtar Hussain Javed from Pakistan. I joined TU/e as PhD researcher on Feb-01-2021. I will be working on FAIR-PLAY project which is collaboration between TU/e, UT and our industrial partners. My research interests are microgrids, distributed control of power system and energy markets. I did my bachelors of electrical engineering from University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan from 2008-2012 and Masters of electrical engineering from Xian Jiaotong University, Xian, China in 2015-2017. My master’s thesis research topic was “”Reactive power sharing in islanded microgrid using virtual impedance method”. Apart from research experience, I have experience of working with power distribution companies in Pakistan for three years. I also worked with Chinese company regarding development of PV, energy storage and renewable projects in middle east and southeast Asia.
