RESEARCH PROFILE

Anahita Amiri is a doctoral candidate in the Dynamics and Control group under the supervision of Prof. dr. Ines Lopez Arteaga and Prof. dr. Nathan van de Wouw. In addition, she is an honoree staff of Stimuli-responsive Functional Materials and Devices group under supervision of Dr. Ir. Danqing Liu. Anahita is working on a collaboration project between the two departments on developing dynamic models for electro-active surface deformations in smart coatings.

At the boundary of connecting science in different fields is where creativity and innovation are born

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

After receiving a bachelor’s degree in Polymer engineering in the University of Tehran (Tehran, Iran), Anahita pursued her master’s degree at the Technical University of Eindhoven (TU/e) in the Chemical engineering and Chemistry, Molecular systems and material track. During her master’s program Anahita accomplished a 6month internship where she designed micro-structures to create functional surfaces in Trespa (weert, the Netehrlands). She obtained her master’s degree after completing her graduation project in the Stimuli-responsive functional materials and devices with the subject “Light triggered surface motility in a liquid crystal polymer coating” under supervision of YuanYuan Zhang MSc., Dr. Danqing Liu and Prof. dr. Dirk Broer. She currently works as a doctoral candidate on a collaboration project between DC group and SFD group of TU/e.
