Andre is a specialist in the field of techniques related to architecture. His specific interests include stimulating the imagination, qualifying the strength of an idea and projecting an idea into construction, materializing and detailing without adhering to conventions and dogmas.

Academic Background

Andre graduated from the Academy of Architecture in Maastricht, the Netherlands, in 1986. Graduation subjects included urban research, urban design and architecture. Walraven has been teaching at the TU/e unit Architectural Urban Design and Engineering since 1999. In addition, he is active as an architect, having gained experience with Jo Coenen & Co Architects. He has been involved with the following projects throughout the Netherlands: Institute for Architecture (Rotterdam), Lecture hall of Maastricht University, Maas Apartments (Maastricht), Restoration of former head office Oranje Nassau (Heerlen), Villas KNSM-eiland (Amsterdam) and House Hawinkels (Swalmen).
