Andrea Cremasco
Department / Institute
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Andrea Cremasco received his MSc degree (cum laude) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pavia, Italy, in 2014. In 2014, he joined the ABB Corporate Research Center, Switzerland, for his graduation project. From 2015 to 2018 he worked as R&D engineer at ABB Switzerland. In 2018, he joined as a Doctoral Candidate the Electromechanics and Power Electronics (EPE) group, Eindhoven University of Technology. In 2023, he received his PhD degree (cum laude) with a thesis entitled "Medium-frequency transformers: fundamentals, models, properties, topologies". In 2024, he joined Hitachi Energy Ltd, Geneva, Switzerland, to continue his work in the field of power and medium-frequency transformers as Senior R&D Engineer.
His interests include modeling and techniques for electromagnetism, high-voltage and thermo-fluid dynamics, applied to developing high-power magnetics.
