RESEARCH PROFILE
Chenhui Li is a postdoctoral researcher within the Department of Applied Physics, Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). His research focuses on the heterogeneous and hybrid integration of photonic devices. He has been working on the EU-FP7-COSIGN and EU-H2020-PASSION projects to develop silicon platforms for laser integration. He is currently working on the NWO-Chaotic MEMS project and focus on the InP membrane spectrometers. Chenhui has co-authored more than 20 papers in leading peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
I want to realize versatile functionalities on a silicon wafer by heterogeneous integration.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Chenhui Li received the B. S. degree (2011) and MSc. Degree (2014) in Applied Physics. The topic of his master thesis was “researches on position-sensitive silicon photon multiplier (PS-SiPM).” In 2014, he joined the Electro-optical Communications (ECO) group to start working towards a Ph.D. in TU/e. His research includes chip-to-chip optical interconnects and 2.5D, 3D integration technology, aiming at high bandwidth density optical transceivers for hyper-scale data center applications. Chenhui obtained the Ph.D. degree Cum Laude in 2018. Chenhui is currently a postdoc within the Photonics and Semiconductor Nanophysics (PSN) group.
