Christina is currently a trainee for a Professional Doctorate in Engineering (PDEng) in the Smart Buildings and Cities program. She is working with the building performance group, under the supervision of Pieter-Jan Hoes and Jan Hensen. Her project focuses on designing a guideline that supports designers to design buildings with high energy flexibility. The guideline investigates specific thermal comfort control strategies and building design parameters such as the thermal mass, the heat/cold delivery system and the façade and how these strategies and design parameters affect the energy flexibility of a specific building. This project is part of the iCARE project.
Christina holds a M.Eng. in Civil Engineering from the University of Patras, Greece (2013) and a MSc in Architectural Engineering and Energy Building Design from Danmarks Tekniske Universitet, Denmark (2015). Currently she is a trainee for a Professional Doctorate in Engineering (PDEng) in the Smart Buildings and Cities program and her project is titled “Designing a guideline to support decisions on thermal comfort control strategies and building parameters for designing high performance office buildings”
