RESEARCH PROFILE

Clara Glachant is a PhD candidate on Smart, Active and Sustainable Micromobility (2021-2025) in the Technology, Innovation and Society group of the Industrial Engineering and Innovation Sciences Department at the Eindhoven University of Technology. Her research examines the perceptions, representations, and identities associated with micromobility in the context of mobility transitions in the Netherlands and in the United Kingdom. She is supervised by Dr. Frauke Behrendt (supervisor) and Prof. Dr. Ruth Oldenziel (promotor). Clara is also involved in the Innovative Light ELEctric Vehicles for Active and Digital TravEl (ELEVATE): reducing mobility-related energy demand and carbon emissions, working with Universities of Brighton, Leeds and Oxford. 

Clara has been involved with the Network of Early Career Researchers in Sustainability Transitions (NEST). She assisted in organizing the 2022 STRN/NEST School on Methodologies and Methods for Sustainability Transitions Research.

 

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Clara has a background in Political Science (MA at Sciences Po Lille) and Urban Governance (MSc at Erasmus University Rotterdam). She previously worked as a research intern for the JUSTRA Cities Network at Erasmus University Rotterdam on translocal initiatives and just sustainability transitions in mobility under the supervision of Prof. Flor Avelino.
