Hareld Kemps
Department

Hareld Kemps is Associate Professor of Design of Chronic Cardiac Care in Everyday Life. He is also working as a cardiologist at Máxima Medical Center, specialized in cardiac rehabilitation, prevention and telemedicine. Kemps has a special interest in designing and implementing new technology and care pathways that will assist patients to manage their disease in their home environment and to guide health care professionals in tailoring treatment strategies to the patients needs and expectations. He has been leading and participating in several national and international research projects, including the Horizon 2020 SmartCare project and the nationwide BENEFIT project. Currently he is chairman of the Dutch Working Group of Cardiac Prevention and Rehabilitation and an active member of the Digital Health Committee and the Regulatory Affairs Committee of the European Society of Cardiology.
