RESEARCH PROFILE
Ingrid Vliegen is the team lead of the RSO Project Management Office, a team supporting TU/e researchers in the coordination of research projects.
Furthermore, Ingrid is Program Manager of the EuroTechPostdoc2 program. Within this program, the universities of the EuroTech Universities Alliance offer seventy Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowships to experienced high-potential researchers. Ingrid is responsible for the implementation of both the subsidy program and the succeeding training program, and as such the main contact person for the European Commission, applicants, supervisors, evaluators and TU/e fellows.
With the Project Management Office, we aim to support TU/e researchers in the coordination of research projects as well as to become the TU/e knowledge hub for project management questions.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Ingrid Vliegen obtained her master’s degree in 2005 and her PhD degree under supervision of Prof. Geert-Jan van Houtum and Prof. Ton de Kok in 2009, both from TU/e. Afterwards she joined Twente University as an Assistant Professor until 2016. In 2011, she was a postdoc at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. In 2016, Ingrid returned to TU/e as a Project Development Officer, a role in which she supported researchers in their funding applications. Since June 2020, Ingrid is the Program Manager of EuroTechPostdoc2.
