RESEARCH PROFILE

Jasmina Lazendic-Galloway is a research fellow at TU/e innovation Space, working on innovations in higher education related to challenge-based learning (CBL) and entrepreneurship. She has extensive teaching and research experience, and has led several initiatives related to academic adoption of innovative teaching approaches and professionalisation of teaching in higher education. 

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

After undergraduate studies in mathematics and astronomy, Jasmina completed her PhD in Australia in astrophysics, specialising in radio observations of supernova remnants and molecular clouds. She held postdoctoral fellowships at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, extending her expertise to X-ray and gamma-ray wavelengths. She worked at Monash University (Melbourne, Australia) from 2008 until 2020, and through her teaching practice, she became passionate about learner-centred and evidence-based teaching practices. She joined TU/e in 2021 to work on Comenius project related to challenge-based learning.
