RESEARCH PROFILE

Lars Janssen is a Doctoral Candidate at the Dynamics and Control (DC) group of the Mechanical Engineering Department at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). He is currently working on a compositional framework for complexity management of multi-disciplinary digital twins. In his project, Janssen is supervised by Nathan van de Wouw (TU/e) and Rob Fey (TU/e) and Bart Besselink (RUG).

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Lars Janssen (born, 1996) obtained his B.Sc.-degree and M.Sc.-degree (Cum Laude) in Mechanical Engineering from the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), Eindhoven, the Netherlands, in 2017 and 2019, respectively. In 2018, he did an internship project at Volkswagen AG in Kassel, Germany. Here, Janssen researched supply chain control and simulation with a focus on forecasting models. Subsequently, he wrote his master’s thesis on acoustic arrays as a condition monitoring and fault detection tool using machine learning. In 2020, Janssen started as a doctoral candidate on model reduction techniques for interconnected systems.
