RESEARCH PROFILE
Lauri Hass is a PhD student in the Unit of Structural Engineering and Design in the Department of the Built Environment of Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). His research is centered around the field of 3D concrete printing, with a specific focus on developing application and reinforcement strategies that can improve productivity and cost-effectiveness.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
In 2015, Lauri Hass completed his MSc in Civil Engineering at Tallinn University of Technology in Estonia, where he studied at the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture. Prior to beginning his PhD studies at TU/e, Lauri worked for six years in the construction industry as a construction site manager on various projects. Lauri's PhD research is focused the development, characterization and application potential of helical reinforcement for printed structures.
