RESEARCH PROFILE

Max Bolderman is a Doctoral Candidate at the Control Systems Group at the Department of Electrical Engineering within Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). His current research is on the consolidation of artificial intelligence with classical control theory for the Physics Guided Neural Networks (PGNN) project, under the supervision of Associate Professor Mircea Lazar and Full Professor Hans Butler. His main research interests include modeling and control of nonlinear systems, data-driven control, and machine learning.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Max Bolderman obtained his BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), cum laude, in 2017. In 2020 he obtained his MSc degree in Dynamics and Control from the TU/e, with great appreciation. During his MSc research, he worked on Cooperative Adaptive Cruise Control, where he focussed on the development of tools to analyze String Stability. The project was carried out at 2getthere, a company of ZF, in cooperation with the Dynamics and Control Group.
