Doctoral Candidate

Nishant Rajesh

RESEARCH PROFILE

Nishant Rajesh is an external PhD researcher in the Dynamics and Control group of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. His research is focussed on the verification and validation of Automated Vehicles through the generation of critical scenarios for simulation. In particular, he is investigating the development of optimization methods for the generation of diverse, unknown and critical traffic scenarios. He is supervised by Mohsen Alirezaei (Siemens DISW, TU/e), Erjen Lefeber (TU/e) and Nathan van de Wouw (TU/e).

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Nishant Rajesh received the B.Tech. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi, India in 2018, and the M.Sc. degree (cum laude) in Vehicle Engineering from Delft University of Technology, Delft, the Netherlands in 2022. For his master thesis, he worked on motion sickness minization in automated vehicles through motion planning using Deep Reinforcement Learning. He is currently working as a PhD researcher in Siemens Digital Industries Software at Helmond, the Netherlands and as a visiting PhD researcher in the Dynamics and Control group of the department of Mechanical Engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands.
