Roozbeh Torkzadeh

RESEARCH PROFILE
Roozbeh Torkzadeh (Esfahan, Iran, 1988) received his M.Sc. (Hon.) degree in electrical engineering from Yazd University in 2013. From May 2019 to August 2013, he was with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Eindhoven University of Technology, Eindhoven (TU/e), The Netherlands, as a Ph.D. candidate. His Ph.D. project was funded by Netbeheer Nederland, the association for Dutch grid operators. He was also a Ph.D. researcher in TenneT TSO BV, Arnhem, the Netherlands. Since September 2023, he has been a guest researcher at the Department of Electrical Engineering, TU/e.
He was with Esfahan Regional Electric Company (EREC), an Iranian TSO, as a power system planning engineer, from 2013 to 2018. He was also with Universidad Loyola AndalucĂa, Seville, Spain, as a research assistant focusing on several EU-H2020 projects from April 2018 to May 2019. His major interests include smart grids, synchrophasor technologies, and power quality.
