RESEARCH PROFILE

Sebastian started as a doctoral candidate in the group of Prof. Jan van Hest in July 2020. His research is focused on the bottom-up reconstruction of cellular functions into coacervate-based protocells.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Sebastian Novosedlik (1996) received his Bachelor in Chemistry and Biochemistry and his Master degree in Chemistry at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München in 2017 and 2020 respectively. During his master, he worked on a supramolecular approach for the protection of small molecules against hydrolysis using receptors based on calix[4]pyrrole scaffolds in the group of Prof. Pau Ballester (Tarragona, The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia [ICIQ]) . As of July 2020, he is a Ph.D. candidate in the group of Prof. Jan van Hest (Eindhoven, University of Technology).
