Ygor Pereira Marca is a Doctoral Candidate at the Department of Electrical Engineering in the Group Electromechanics and Power Electronics at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). He is interested in power electronic applications that aim to reduce dependence on fossil fuels, such as electric vehicle chargers and DC microgrids. His research focus is on modular multilevel converters for medium-voltage ultrafast chargers.
To quote esteemed physicist Stephen Hawking: 'Scientists have become the bearers of the torch of discovery in our quest for knowledge'.
Ygor Pereira Marca received his BSc degree in Electrical Engineering in 2017 from the Federal University of Technology - Paraná (Brazil) and his MSc in 2019 from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (Brazil). Since 2020, he has been a PhD candidate at the Electromechanics and Power Electronics Group at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e).
