Yifan He is Assistant Professor in the Electronic Systems group of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). He’s research focuses on low-power and multi-core architectures, processor and accelerator design and energy-efficient frameworks. He works on designing and implementing various types of technology, such as embedded processors, TTA-based architecture, hybrid memory systems, and other designs with the goal to achieve extreme efficiency.
He is responsible for more than twenty publications, including but not limited to DAC, DATE, CASES, TCAS-VT and TACO, with three best paper nominations. He manages four image/video processing related projects and two fault-tolerance related projects, and he has supervised one PhD student and five master’s degree students.
Yifan He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Zhejiang University (China), graduating with honor. He then came to Eindhoven University of Technology to pursue an MSc and PhD in Electrical Engineering, completed in 2008 (with honor) and 2013, respectively. As part of his MSc, He did an internship at NXP Semiconductors. After graduation, He did postdoctoral research at TU/e before being made Assistant Professor there in 2016.
Since 2013, Ye also works for Recore Systems, first as a researcher of digital IC design and fault-tolerant network-on-chips, then as senior hardware engineer focusing on multi-core system architecture and finally as consultant.
