RESEARCH PROFILE

Yorick is Doctoral Candidate at the Control Systems Group at the Department of Electrical Engineering. His current research is on the topic of development of high-precision planar stage technology as part of the IT2 project, under the supervision of Associate Professor Roland Tóth and Full Professor Hans Butler. His main research interests include advanced motion control, modeling and control of linear parameter varying (LPV) systems, spatial control and system dynamics.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Yorick Broens obtained his BSc degree in Mechatronics from Fontys University of Applied Sciences Venlo in 2017 and his MSc degree in Systems and Control from Eindhoven University of Technology in 2020. During his MSc degree, he worked on the topic of design and implementation of a position dependent state observer for active compensation of flexible dynamics of a wafer stage, carried out at ASML in cooperation with the Control Systems Group.
