Why Medical Sciences and Technology in Eindhoven?
This major is unique because of the focus on (bio)medical courses, supported by a large technological component. You will develop your knowledge in the physiology of the human body. You can focus on chemical and physical processes, as well as simulate and modelling these processes on a computer.
The program is clearly more technical than Biomedical Sciences and simultaneously more biomedical than the major Biomedical Engineering.
Furthermore, the TU/e is the only university in the Netherlands with a separate Department for Biomedical Engineering. Within the department, we have a personal and accessible atmosphere between students and professors.
The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the TU/e cooperates with the University of Maastricht and Utrecht University for a number of courses. We also cooperate with the academic hospitals of Maastricht (MUMC+) and Utrecht (UMC Utrecht).
