Prof.dr. S.I. Stupp
For decades, Sam Stupp has played a leading role in the field of soft materials, pioneering revolutionary breakthroughs in complex supramolecular systems. Through ingenious design and molecule synthesis, he controls the molecular organization on a nano- and micro-scale, thereby also controlling the functional properties of these new materials. His work is applied in regenerative medicine, cancer research, and functional materials. One of the highlights of his work is the creation of versatile supramolecular biomaterials for biomedical technology. Stupp’s success may be attributed to his ability to create interfaces between different disciplines.
