Project website 2.0

13 November 2017 marked the start of the Website 2.0 project. The goal of this project is to develop future-proof websites for research, research groups and the TU/e community. Its motto: Dare to be different! Not only we want to develop a website that is different and innovative, we also want to get there in a way that is different for TU/e. We will be working in an agile way, using Scrum, to develop the website in ‘bits’. With every step, users and stakeholders are the primary focus. What are their needs and wishes, and how can we meet them? Our priorities will be informed by what is most valuable to do.

A group of stakeholders has been determined for both the research and community websites, consisting of representatives from departments, services and societies. They will be our sparring partners during the project, and will give us their feedback on website designs and deliverables every two weeks during a review session.

You can visit one of our review sessions and give your feedback about the new website:

  • Monday 24-09-2018, 12.45 - 13.30 h. location review session t.b.c

The location of each session will be published on this website.

Suggestions for a location? Please let us know!

Open communication is an important part of this project. For that reason we have a group of stakeholders -all users of the TU/e website- that are our sparring partner during the developing traject.

Don't hesitate to contact the stakeholder of your department if you have any questions or feedback about the website!

Feedback on the new website

What do people think about the new website? Below an impression of the first feedback. Please note: we also need your feedback to improve the new website! Suggestions? Contact us.

"This is an awesome improvement."

"When you view the website in mobile version, and have the menu open, you can only close it again by pressing the button with three underscores. Intuitively it would work better if you can also close the menu when you are at a different spot on the page or 'swiping' the menu back."

"Great website! I love it :)"

"Awesome website! On this page:, under 'Our Research Areas': when I drag and drop the blocks at the right with my mouse, it only goes to the next one. I think it would be nice if you drag it completely from left to right, it moves with two or three spots instead of one."

"I’m happy with my new personal webpage!"

Presentation and designs review sessions

During the review sessions we have presented designs of Research and Community. You can find the presentation of the review session and designs on our website.
