Fascinating articles, innovative new insights and an exciting design typify Technologist, the new magazine of four European universities of technology. The first issue of the popular-science magazine has appeared on 24 June.
Technologist bears the slogan ‘Innovation. Explained.’ The magazine offers readers news, background and opinion on science and technology from a European perspective. Shale gas is the new gold rush, cooking with in vitro meat and the revolution of the wonder material graphene. These are just a few of the topics to whet your interest in the magazine.
Technologist reveals how the universities cluster their strengths to help develop technological innovations worldwide. Innovations that help solve societal challenges in areas like renewable energy, food, health, communication and mobility. TU/e makes various contributions to each issue.
Four times a year
Technologist appears four times a year in three languages: English, French and German. The first issue is a digital version and is available on www.technologist.eu since 24 June 2014. This website will also encourage readers to engage in open discussion and debate.
EuroTech Universities Alliance
agazine is a publication of EuroTech Universities Alliance. The four partners are École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Danmarks Tekniske Universitet (DTU), the Technische Universität München (TUM) and Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), together they form a European network of scientific excellence. These four universities are among the top research universities in Europe and have a common vision: to establish the strongest and most innovative European research and education programs in engineering and technology.
Technologist may be financed by the four universities, but the contributions are from leading, independent science journalists who also write for top magazines like New Scientist, Nature and Spiegel.
