The Science Festival (formerly known as Public Day, or TU/eXperience Day) is an exciting event for both young and old. Come along and be inspired by the world of science and technology.
There are all kinds of things for you to experience and do, hands on.
Like presentations about prominent research at Eindhoven University of Technology: a self-repairing heart valve, a car that drives on powdered iron or a house that helps people who grow older.
Come and listen to our scientists and have a chat with them.
The Science Show is the central feature of the program, with tests and demonstrations by the student teams and experiments by the Applied Physics department.
Cars and buses powered by formic acid or solar energy, an in-home drone or soccer-playing robots all developed by the student teams at TU/e.
Design intelligent clothes in the Wearable Senses Lab or take a test drive in the Carsimulator.
The younger visitors can go along to the Toverlab (Magic lab), where they can make their own shampoo or toothpaste. Or make a Celfie of their own cells, and do much more besides.
The Science Festival is part of the Weekend of Science. The Festival takes place on Sunday 8 October from 12 pm till 5 pm, and is free of charge.
The DIFFER institute based at the TU/e campus is also taking part in the Science Festival.
We hope to see you there at the TU/e campus!
The program is being regularly updated so check our website now and again.
