The research in the group CQT centers around coherence in ensembles of atoms, ions, electrons and photons. We combine expertise from plasma physics, AMO (Atomic, Molecular and Optical Phyics) and particle beam physics to investigate new areas such as Extreme Plasma Physics. We especially concentrate on the potential applications of those techniques, either to future technologies or to other areas in physics.
At present, CQT's research program is divided into four discernable but inter-related subprograms:

2. Ultracold Atoms and Quantum Gases
3. Ultracold Electron and Ion Sources
4. Laser-assisted Accelerators
