Bert Meijer elected as AAAS Fellow

Bert Meijer has been elected as AAAS Fellow, a great acknowledgement for his contribution to advancing science in chemistry. Bert Meijer is the first Dutch Fellow of the AAAS.

The Council of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) elected 347 Fellows for 2015, in recognition of their contributions to innovation, education, and scientific leadership. These individuals will be recognized for their contributions to science and technology at the Fellows Forum to be held on 13 February 2016 during the AAAS Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C.

The AAAS writes on their website: “A member whose efforts on behalf of the advancement of science or its applications are scientifically or socially distinguished and who has been a continuous member for the four year period leading up to the year of nomination, may, by virtue of such meritorious contribution be elected a Fellow by the Council.”
