Ir. Sam van Dun

Sam van Dun (1987) started in the Chemical Biology group as an undergraduate in 2013. After receiving his Master’s degree in 2014, he started as a PhD to continue his work on self-assembling supramolecular discotic amphiphiles. Currently, he works on the use of this supramolecular system for biomedical applications thereby focusing on its potential as a platform to study protein-protein interactions. His multidisciplinary project tackles several challenges ranging from the physical/chemical intracellular delivery to the (bio)conjugation and synthesis of discotic amphipiles.
