Mathematical modelling deals with modelling and analyzing various types of biomedical systems. In general models are used to understand the behaviour of complex systems. In this way properties of the system or its components can be predicted which are difficult to observe or measure in another way. Also the behaviour of a system in a new situation or with new parameter values may be inferred from a suitable model.
