Roxanne received her BSc in Biological Sciences and MSc in Virology at Imperial College London, UK. Following this, she then joined the Florey Institute for Host-Pathogen Interactions at the University of Sheffield, UK, where she pursued her PhD under the supervision of Professor Jon Sayers. There, she undertook an interdisciplinary research project, studying bacterial replication enzymes as potential targets for novel antibiotics.
Roxanne joined Christian Ottmann’s group as a postdoctoral researcher in early drug discovery in November 2017, at TU/e in collaboration with GSK. Her research focuses on a new anti-inflammatory drug approach via the identification of small molecule stabilisers of the 14-3-3/pyrin complex, key regulators in the innate immune response.
