Biography

Bas Rosier (1990) received his MSc degree in Biomedical Engineering cum laude in 2014 at Eindhoven University of Technology. For his Master thesis he investigated the use of microfluidic devices in the fields of supramolecular chemistry and chemical biology and developed a microfluidic gradient generator to determine kinetic parameters of enzymes. During an internship at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University, he worked in the group of dr. W.M. Shih on the development of a fluorescence barcoding system for a microfluidic DNA origami-scaffolded, SNARE-mediated vesicle fusion assay.

Currently, he is a PhD candidate under supervision of dr. T.F.A. de Greef and prof. L. Brunsveld and aims to use DNA origami as scaffolds to study kinetics of multi-enzyme complexes and cascades.
