Lenne Lemmens (1992) received her Bachelor degree and subsequent Master degree in Biomedical Engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology in 2013 and 2016, respectively. For her master thesis in the group of prof. L. Brunsveld, she worked on synthetic signaling networks, investigating combinatorial inhibition of scaffold proteins and extension of the existing network by incorporating phosphorylation. During an internship at the Centralised and Point-of-Care Solutions division of Roche Diagnostics GmbH Mannheim, she developed an assay to quantify an enzyme of interest in complex matrix.

Currently, Lenne is a PhD candidate in the Chemical Biology group of prof. L. Brunsveld. Her research focuses on heterodimerization of the scaffold protein 14-3-3, following two directions: orthogonal and human heterodimerization. In the orthogonal dimerization project, orthogonal 14-3-3 heterodimerization modules will be created, which form the basis for synthetic signaling networks. The human heterodimerization project aims to create a better understanding of human 14-3-3 isoform heterodimerization by making use of 14-3-3 fusion scaffolds.
