Smart Cities addresses a variety of topics from the perspective that smart and innovative solutions are required for our built environment. Implementing these solutions is challenging; life in a city is dynamic and complex because of the numerous participants that are involved, all with different and changing needs, interests, and expectations, leading to a jumble of user interaction, and continuous developments in boundary conditions.
In order to prepare our future engineers for these questions and challenges, the TU/e Smart Cities Program aims to further strengthen smart cities related education at all levels (Bachelor, Master, and PhD). The goal is to establish dedicated programs and to develop new courses that meet the needs of our future engineers.
