Christina holds a M.Eng. in Civil Engineering form the University of Patras, Greece (2013) and a MSc in Architectural Engineering and Energy Building Design from Danmarks Tekniske Universitet Denmark (2015).
Currently she is a trainee for a Professional Doctorate in Engineering (PDEng) in Smart Buildings and Cities, under the supervision of Pieter-Jan Hoes and Jan Hensen. Her project focuses on designing a guideline that supports designers to design buildings with high energy flexibility. The guideline investigates specific thermal comfort control strategies and building design parameters such as the thermal mass, the heat/cold delivery system and the façade and how these strategies and design parameters affect the energy flexibility of a specific building. The designer can use the guideline in the design phase to decide on specific parameters of the building in order to achieve high energy flexibility. This project and the guideline focuses on new office buildings and renovation of office buildings.
