The research focus in the Master's program in Chemical Engineering is on the areas of Organic and Macromolecular Engineering, Inorganic Chemistry and Catalysis, Process Engineering, Materials Sciences and Polymer Technology. Working on a molecular scale, new molecules are developed, making use of catalysis for the conversion of raw materials into the desired products. Catalysis is the keyword for environment-friendly, sustainable processes, and is an important tool for achieving high conversions and performing selective reactions. Process engineering is used in the design of processes with characteristics that include controllability, safety and sustainability, so that the reactions may eventually be applied on a large scale.
