High Tech Systems

The term High-tech systems refers to ground-breaking technology ranging from extreme precision devices to autonomous aircrafts with indoor maneuverability capabilities and 3D printing based manufacturing. High-precision systems in particular play a key role in the current developments in this technology field, driven by the major achievements and current challenges in lithographic manufacturing. Next to research on advanced actuator concepts and active vibration isolation for such systems, the CS group is also involved in the development of innovative control concepts for high-performance power convertors as well as modeling, estimation and control aspects in the thermal, mechanical and optical imaging part of lithographic processes and motion control and indoor navigation of quad copters.

The CS group also participates in the High Tech System Center  initiative at TU/e.
