IC characterization of a LED driver at MHz range

The MEGALED project targets the IC implementation of DC/DC converters used to drive LEDs, always looking for high efficiency and power density.

The aim of this internship is the static and dynamic characterization (measurements and simulations) of the basic blocks used in the first prototype, which includes a basic DC/DC converter, phase generation, power drivers and even a more complex converter at MHz range. At the end of this internship, it is expected that the student checks the degree of agreement between measurements, taken by himself in the laboratory, and simulation results in Cadence, thus validating the models provided.

Basic knowledge in power electronics and Cadence simulation are desired.
