Come along with friends and family to this year's Science Festival! Young and old alike will come together to take part in a variety of fun and engaging different activities on Sunday, October 8 - all on the TU/e Campus.
The day will feature presentations by prominent researchers, learn more about a self-repairing heart valve, a car that drives on powdered iron or a house that helps people who grow older. The Science Show is the central feature of the program - with live experiments and demonstrations to entertain our audiences. Visitors will also be able to have a look at cars and buses powered by formic acid and solar energy, an in-home drone or soccer-playing robots - all developed by TU/e student teams right here on campus. Our younger visitors should definitely try the exciting experiments at the Toverlab (Magic lab)!
Come to our department’s building and take a peek inside the department of Industrial Design. Check out the Laplace program here. Not only will there be projects on display - younger visitors can also join several creative and fun workshops such as building your own robot, creating your own 3D design or signing up for a workshop at our Wearable Senses lab. Don’t forget to check out the schedule of lectures by ID startups in the Lucid.bar!
The Science Festival is part of the Weekend of Science. The Festival takes place on Sunday 8 October from 12 pm till 5 pm, and is free of charge. The DIFFER institute based at the TU/e campus is also taking part in the Science Festival. Come and get inspired by the wonderful world of science and technology!
