Business Models for a Complex Economy
There is a need for new business models to accommodate a dynamic, complex economy and sophisticated ICT to support them. That is the subject matter on which the Information Systems group of the School of Industrial Engineering is cooperating with De Lage Landen, a global player in the field of asset-based financing. In today’s turbulent economy, ever-greater demands are being placed on financial services in the business-to-business market. They must become more flexible and customer-oriented, faster and more closely intertwined with other services. Meeting these demands requires a thorough knowledge of the financial domain and penetrating insight into the interplay between business models, operations processes and e-business systems. The clustering of the industry’s domain knowledge with TU/e’s scientific approach fosters innovation.
