The admission requirements for one of our Master's degree programs depend on your previous education. Some levels of previous education provide direct admission to a Master's program, but it is also possible that you will need to apply for admission. In some cases you need to follow a pre-Master's program first. There are 3 types of previous education:
- Bachelor's degree from a university in the Netherlands
- Bachelor's degree from a university in another country
- Certificate of Higher Vocational Education
The following Bachelor's degrees completed at our university give you direct access to the Master's in Computer Science and Engineering:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science completed at TU/e
You can transfer to a deficiency program of 30 ECTS after completing the following Bachelor's degrees at TU/e:
- Applied Mathematics
- Applied Physics
- Electrical Engineering
- Industrial Design
- Innovation Sciences
- Mechanical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering & Innovation Sciences
You can find more information relating to the deficiency program in the Program guide Computer Science graduate program, in the subsection Admissions with deficiencies.
Pre-Master's programs for Higher Vocational Education graduates
Do you hold a higher vocational education degree? Please refer to the section entitled Pre-Master's programs for Higher Vocational Education graduates.
If you hold a Bachelor's degree from a university other than a university of technology or if you have a different but related background, you will need to present your academic transcript to a selection committee. It is likely that you will need to follow the deficiency program. To find out more, please contact the study advisor Natasha Stash.
