  1. Workshop: From Idea to Market

    ILI, DSC/e and CHT offers a patent workshop organized by the European Patent Office and the TU/e Innovation Lab to provide an overview of what to do when you have an innovative idea and the whole process behind. We wish to cordially invite you to participate in this workshop. The TU/e is the place “where innovation starts”.

  2. ‘Where Science Meets Business’

    De TU/e staat voor nuttige en zinvolle innovatie: technologie voor het oplossen van maatschappelijke uitdagingen. Samenwerking met de industrie is daarom cruciaal. Op 30 maart 2017 organiseert TU/e Innovation Lab haar jaarlijkse valorisatiemiddag ‘Where Science Meets Business’.

  3. Course Time Series Analysis and Forecasting (April 5, 7 and 12 2017)


    Time series occur in a wide range of disciplines, ranging from business, economics and social sciences to biomedical and engineering contexts. In analyzing time series one searches for structures and patterns to describe and explain the underlying process and to forecast, based on adequate models fitted, future values or to predict results from alternative scenarios.

  4. Responsible Data Science in Health Genomics & an Ethical Society (Event 08)

    The RDS initiative is driven by the omnipresence of data making society increasingly dependent on data science. Despite its great potential, there are also many concerns on irresponsible data use. Unfair or biased conclusions, disclosure of private information, and non-transparent data use, may inhibit future data science applications.

  5. Symposium Facets of Data Analytics

    On April 21, 2017 the DSC/e will organize a symposium in honor of Lars Arge, who will receive an honorary doctorate from the TU/e. The symposium is free, however registration is necessary. Lars Arge (Aarhus University, Denmark) is a pioneer in the area of memory-hierarchy efficient algorithms, especially I/O-efficient algorithms for problems involving massive datasets.

  6. BIOMEDICA 2017 – Health care for the future

    BeNeLearn is the annual machine learning conference of Belgium and The Netherlands. It serves as a forum for researchers to exchange ideas, present recent work, and foster collaboration in the broad field of Machine Learning and its applications. The 26th edition is hosted by the Data Mining group of Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) under the auspices of the Dutch Research School for Information and Knowledge Systems (SIKS) and Data Science Center Eindhoven (DSC/e).
