The growing amounts of data will significantly change the jobs of (future) engineers. This is reflected in the training of students; engineers of the future will be confronted with a multitude of data science questions. Therefore, the Eindhoven University of Technology aims to further strengthen data-science related education at all levels (Bachelor, Master, and PhD). We do this in together with our JADS partner: Tilburg University. As of the study year 2016 a number of dedicated Data Science programs have started.

Joint Bachelor Data Science

This Data Science major is a joint bachelor program with Tilburg University where you will learn to spot trends for businesses, government agencies or non-profit organizations. Besides the technical side you will also learn to deal with social issues which relate to Data Science.

Data Science Master programs

At master level TU/e also offers several Data Science program options:

Master Data Science and Entrepreneurship

This program is organized in cooperation with Tilburg University and is a truly interdisciplinary business-technology-analytics program. It is ideal for students eager to bring data science into effective use in business.

Special Master Program Data Science in Engineering

This is a joint master program of Mathematics and Computer Science which can be studied as a special track in either the Computer Science and Engineering Master or the Industrial and Applied Mathematics Master.

Digital Science at EIT Digital

EIT Digital provides an international Master's program in Data Science. Majors in technical fields are combined with a minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. You will acquire skills relating to technical subjects and you will learn how to bring your ideas to the market.

PDEng program Data Science

PDEng programs are two-year salaried programs in the field of technological design. A major part of the Data Science program is related to real-life, cross-functional projects with partners in the data science ecosystem. The academy is located in the city of 's Hertogenbosch. Candidates have a solid background in Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science, and strong affinity with Data Science.
