Future Fuels

Michael Boot, employed in the researchgroup Multiphase & Reactive Flows, focusses on research on clean combustion concepts and clean fuels. As TU/e Fellow in the area of 'Designer Fuels' he attempts, by detailed analyses of the desired combustion behavior, to develop the desired, sustainable fuel.

Michael has a lot of experience with this reverse engineering way of developing new fuels. As co-founder of the start-up Progression Industry BV, he is heavily involved in the development of the biobased 'designer fuel' CyclOx®. There is a lot of interest in this patented fuel from shipping and racing. Figures 1-6 below, give some visual explanation.
