Biography

Herman Wijshoff studied Applied Physics at the Eindhoven University of Technology. He did his traineeship at the Plasma and Materials Processing group at the universitya. In 1986, he received his MSc degree in Physics on the behavior of two dimensional electron gases at semiconductor heterojunctionsb. In that same year, he joined the Research and Development department of Océ Technologies B.V. in Venlo, the Netherlands. The main focus was on materials research, especially the viscoelastic behavior of polymers and elastomers. Since 1997 he has been involved in the inkjet research program. He has focussed primarily on the modeling of the functional behavior of inkjet printheads and the inkjet process. This research program is in close cooperation with the University of Twente in Enschede, where he received his PhD degree in 2008. Meanwhile the collaboration with academic research groups involves more than ten groups from the faculties of Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics and Mathematics at the three TU’s. aPublished as: B. van der Sijde, O.
