Open access publishing in RSC journals
TU/e affiliated corresponding authors can publish their papers open access free of charge in all RSC journals, with the exception of Chemical Science, Chemistry world and RSC advances. Up to a total of 38 articles can be made open access free of charge; after that a 15% discount on publishing costs is given.

For publications in Chemical Science, Chemistry world and RSC advances the Royal Society of Chemistry offers reduced Article Processing Charges (APC) of € 870 in 2017 and 2018 to TU/e affiliated corresponding authors.

How to publish your article in open access free of charge
To make your paper open access free of charge, it is important to use your TU/e email-address and affiliation. RSC will recognize TU/e corresponding authors based on their email-domain and affiliation and automatically inform them about the option to publish open access free of charge.

Do not sign the standard licence and ignore automatic reminders. The RSC will prompt you after acceptation to fill in an application form to make you publication open access free of charge.
