Individual assistance in view of open access obligation under NWO and EC grants
NWO and the European Commission have included an open access obligation in their most recent grant conditions. We provide to-the-point advice and active help, e.g. in budgeting your open access costs and meeting obligatory open access conditions.
Open access within the framework of grants requires tailor-made solutions, as options depend on a combination of conditions set by both funders and publishers. We will be happy to give you prompt personal support and advice.
Individual support for researchers and secretarial offices in open access publishing
Would you like to know more about open access? We will be happy to contact you in person to provide more advice and answer all your questions. We advise researchers on the options for open access publishing, the costs involved and the alternatives. We advise secretarial offices on registering and uploading scientific articles within the framework of green open access. We can provide this support in a personal meeting, but of course you may also contact us via e-mail or by telephone.
Open access presentations
The IEC regularly gives presentations to scientific staff members about open access. Would you like to request such a presentation? Contact our open access specialists.
Increase the visibility and impact of your publication
All of your registered publications will be displayed on your personal Employee Page. Open Access publications are visible to everyone and easy to download. If your publication is available through Open Access in the TU/e Repository, this increases its visibility and impact.
Peer-reviewed articles automatically available through open access in the TU/e Repository.
TU/e requests authors to register their articles and to upload them to the TU/e Repository. The authors need not prepare their own articles for Open Access. The Information Expertise Center will do this for them. The IEC will verify the publisher’s copyright conditions and make the article automatically available through Open Access as soon as it is allowed by the publisher. No fees are charged for this service
Overview of embargo periods, by journal
The IEC maintains a growing list of embargo periods by journal. This list can be arranged by department, publisher, and embargo period. You can easily determine for yourself the Open Access embargo conditions for the journal of your choice..
